oh no, my pedometer has been going crazy for the last few

weeks... ive changed the battery 4 times.

usually it will work for a few days, then say it has a low

battery, then die.

right now it seems to be counting, but the time on it changes to

something random, which messes up the daily counts.

argh!!

i guess i will have to buy a new one even though i paid $60 for

this one a couple of years ago. it is an omron, but i guess 2

years is all i get :/

so im thinking about this one, which is $33.. perhaps the clips

on my omron will fit on this one.

do you have any suggestions?

last time i checked i couldnt get the fitbit here... should check

Ugh, that would be upsetting. I would think that if you give $60 for it that it should last longer then 2 years. I so wish you could get the fitbit. You would LOVE it.

thanks judy and michelle... i know that jen also likes her fitbit.

i checked what appears to be the only canadian distributor and

they are not currently selling it, due to a new model coming out.

they say it will be avail in canada in early 2012, whenever

that is.

so im going to place my order...yay!

this is the perfect thing to spend the $100 my parents gave me

for xmas

im quite looking forward to it... i hope it will help me to get

my butt back in gear.

will probably have to wait 2 weeks (hopefully not more!) to

receive it from the US, but that is ok.

Well, it automatically tracks how many you burn by the distance. I don't use their food tracker at their web site though.

and their customer service is awesome. For some reason mine stopped and I tried all their fixes but nothing worked so they are sending me a new one. I REALLY like the sleep function. I also like the little emails of encouragementI don't use their food tracker right now because I just rejoined WW and use their online program. My goal is to become lifetime WW so I can always use it or maybe someday be a leader like . I might have to look into these, they sound interesting. I thought you had to use their food tracker to get full benefit but perhaps not. I use WW e-tools too & thanks for the reminder to go track my breakfast. I saw the announcement about the bar code app, now I want a smart phone even more! Day one is always a honeymoon (or should be anyway), it is fun reading your posts, Judy. Stay happy! If you're not at some point, talk to your leader (and me if you want to)!

re: fitbit

the newest fitbit ultra will sync the stats that it accumulates

with other websites that people use for tracking food and

activity ( LoseIt!, RunKeeper, and Microsoft HealthVault - not

sure if there are others as well, i will have to look into

that)... so you are not tied down to using their website tracking

if you are already using something else.

thankyou for the tip michelle! most often i wear a cami sports

bra so i will have to see if it will clip onto that ok. usually

i have a pocket to slip it into, so i will also try that. it is

so tiny, i will really have to be careful. ive done well with

my current pedometer (havent lost it in 2 years!), so im used to

thinking of it and making sure that i know where it is.
