Guest guest
has diet in his statement, something along the lines of school must adhere to 's dietary requirements which are implemented according to my advice, ie LOD. I did take last school to tribunal as discrimination case regarding diet and lost but they have been vigilant ever since. I only provide snacks, school provide main meals, no desserts though as never found anything he could have. Enzymes are given before school lunch by staff. Vicky Re: Getting special diet and other biomed into your child's Statement It is Sam's statement about SCD. I wrote it on the part where the parent comments, and the LEA included it in without asking me anything about it. Sam is home educated now but when he was at school i always provided all of sam's food and snacks. Absolutely no way would i trust a school to provide it and i personally have not heard of a school paying for it either. A letter from Goyal would allow them to give him supplements though. K x > > I know at least one child at my son's school has his special diet in their Statement. Does anyone have experience of getting this done please (also supplements. Would a letter from Dr G do (we aren't patients of his at the moment)? > At the moment I am sending in lots of food myself - this week it cost me over £30. There are some quite ordinary foods that aren't in the school budget that are eaten on the GAPS/SCD eg mature blue cheese (Roquefort), mature sheep's cheese eg Manchego, bacon, honey. Also I am sending in Dalfour pure fruit jams and 2 litres of 24 hour yogurt and 13 individual portions of frozen bone broth every week. > Margaret > PS Henry's current school is helpful re diet and giving supplments but I am wondering whether other schools eg Prior's Court, Purbeck View, the Shires nr Stretton are as helpful? >
