Hi all,

I am planning to do a meeting for the South London (Surrey) mums in my house

on the 29th May. It will be from 10:30 to 01:00 pm.

I live in Sutton/ South London.

I am having a Nutritionist, Baker who attends in Wimbledon and has a

lot of interest in working with ASD children. She will be available to give

advice on request.

If you are interested in coming to our gathering, please email me on

WWW.LHIGGY.AOL.COM, and I will send you the address.

Re: : Wahl's Diet (WAS Re: Re: TST Update)

Hi Darla,

If you go to her site - http://www.terrywahls.com/

there is a thing on the right to enter your name and email and a

screen pops up with details of the diet :

http://www.terrywahls.com/eating-the-wahls-way?EID=20995640 & CID=4094495

My NT son in London (at university) is following the diet but is

also eating carbs that he seems OK with. He has always suffered

from bloating and classic migraines since he was six then started

what I think are cluster migraines last autumn. Both sorts of

migraine are debilitating and all he can do is curl up in a ball

wherever he is (not good on the streets of London so very worrying.

He is also prone to depression. He says he feels great and eats the

veg mostly raw. He is a student and so will be also doing unhealthy

things like drinking beer!

At home I am doing the diet with my autistic son (17) he is doing

well at the moment but I am also doing bio resonance with him which

I am putting a lot of his improvements down to. He could not have

tolerated most veg pre bio resonance as he could not cope with

sulphur veg ...he seems fine on it now.

So she says basically all organic , no sugar and avoid any foods you

have a problem with (gluten etc). Then 9 cups of veg a day (mostly

cooked here but also juicing and smoothies) stews, soups, thin

slices (like crisps) in the oven on a very low heat (can't afford a

dehydrator) and salads. I also do mixed with gram flour and cooked

in a pan that has been heated with a tspn of olive oil then wiped.

The veg is 3 cups of each of coloured/sulphur/leafy (rotate the

coloured veg as much as possible). He is not coping with meat at the

moment but have tried him on organic chicken and lamb....will try

again at some point. She says grass fed meat or fish once a day.

Also organ meat once a week (he seems to cope with liver). You also

need seaweed....and berries....She likes kale but I am having

trouble sourcing organic kale at the moment. Most of this I found

out by watching her lecture.

I am trying to follow the diet myself and feeling more alive and

less exhausted. I am still eating wheat which I should not but have

given up dairy.

Her sight says the following about her book :

I have been working on my book, THE WAHLS PROTOCOLâ„¢:Defeating Progressive MS Without Drugs. My literary

agent, Lynn lin, and I are looking for the right publisher.

I have sent her an email asking about it...she has loads of other

books.

HTH , hope I have not missed anything out! Good luck and let me know

how you get on.

x

,

Congratulations on not getting the migraines and on the

progress that you note.

Would you be able to elaborate on the diet, I am very

interested as Dr. Wahl's story has spurred me into action

as far as my whole family's diet but particularly my son

as he seems to be so hyper-reactive to supplementation and

quickly grows intolerant of anything that I give him

whereas he seems to tolerate eating anything and

everything under the sun - I am desperate to get

better/optimal nutrition into him and to help remedy some

of the problems that he has.

How did you get info on the diet? Did you buy her

book? Would you recommend it? Any comments appreciated

as you are the first person that I've come across who is

doing this diet.

Thanks very much,

Darla

Hi ,

Thank you. Yes, I found increasing anti

oxidants helped a bit but did not lead to

the near total calm we have since starting

bio resonance. I was sceptical but it

helped a friend's son in a similar way so

gave it a a try.

is much better, so I am presuming it

was cluster migraines (they appear in autumn

and/or spring so we were waiting for another

occurrence but did not get one). He has his

appointment with the neurologist in July

(shockingly long wait!!!) so see what he

says. In the meantime he is following Dr

Terry Wahls MS diet (mostly......well he is

a student) and says he feels really

good...he is prone to depression but the

diet seems to have done the trick with that....got

everything crossed here on this too.

I really want to get back to doing TST but

will leave it for a bit longer....I

understand what Vicky means about being

apprehensive! Was it the 3rd set you got

to or 4th?

Great to hear that Vicky is still doing

well.
