Guest guest
Indy that is my worst fear other than my parents dying. HUGS. I worry that when I return from vacation on Monday they will say, " We don't need you anymore " . Though in my mind I know this isn't true and I've been there the longest and also lowest on the totem pole I'm totally valuable and relatively cheap.... still.... as a single person I desperately need my job. I've been there 13 years and it's my rock.. Hope you find something bigger and better SOON! And hope this doesn't exclude you from the Challenge! I think you have a good chance at winning it!!!Hugs,: Did a walk/run interval this evening. I need to keep up the running more often than just once a week, as I really felt it! My foot feels better, though, so I can go back to it. Had bad news today -- next Friday will be my last day at work...again. They said they had no money in the budget for retaining contractors, even though they really wanted me to stay. Rats. Many people have expressed regret that I need to go. I thought maybe this was going to be my new corporate home. I hate being a contractor. We are grossly underinsured with our health care, since we're buying it all out-of-pocket. Thank goodness we are all in good health and maintain our health well!! I could use some prayers for finding a new job -- hopefully, one with a future (and health insurance). Guest guest
Final weigh-in is on my last day, so I'm planning on winning that before I go! :-) This is the 4th time in 3 years that I've been laid off :-( They've all given me written " official " letters stating that it was not due to my performance, but rather economics, but that doesn't lessen the sting. I've bounced back each time, so at least I don't fear it quite so much as when it happened the first time. My skill set is fairly marketable. Guest guest
Indyrose, I am so sorry. I know you'll land on your feet, but this still sucks. I hope the next gig turns out to be ideal. My DH was laid off a few times and it was a nightmare trying to stay a float. Hang in there. You WILL bounce back. ~
