Guest guest
I haven't done that one in a long time too! I've had a VHS copy of Vol 3 offered on VF for a month or so now (I have 2 copies of it, oops). I looked at my notes and don't have a date for when I last did Vol 1 but I put in the notes that the floor work was the hardest I'd ever done. That was obviously before I did the original Buns of Steel or especially Gym Style Legs! :-) Monday Workout Good morning! I hope you all had a Happy New Year. I started off 2012 with a Firm workout. I'm going to try to get through a lot of my Firm workouts this month. I'm going to throw in my new KCM Step Boxing this week. Finally got it and her Best Body workout in the mail. So I went with the very first one. Vol 1. with . Wow, it had been a long time since I've done this one. I only own it on VHS. Actually about 50% of my Firm workouts are on VHS. I've tried to copy them to DVD but most won't copy. I can't say that I enjoyed this workout. I thought there was more cardio. The second half of the workout is all on the floor. The leg lifts were hard but I got really bored with it. I burned 300 calories in the hour long workout. My avg was just 116 and max 158. I guess that's good because that means I've maybe outgrown this one? I'm on the fence about keeping it, but then who is going to buy or want a 1986 VHS lol. Have a great day!~~
Guest guest
Good morning! This week I'm going to try to just do all Firm workouts. I'm hoping I don't burn myself out. I will start a new rotation for Feb after this week is done. Hopefully I can squeeze the rest in and be done with all of them. Its not looking too good on how many will be staying on my shelf. So I did another workout from the "fat burning collection" I did Cardio Overdrive. There were parts I liked about this and then parts I didn't. So I'm on the fence. I burned 343 calories, avg 140, max 166, steps 4,646 Off to the eye doctor for my yearly exam. Crossing fingers that I don't need glasses yet. Have a great day!~~
Guest guest
ooo, now I want to try Sculpt Sweatfest! Like you I often just focus on the targeted body part and take out the secondary movement. Compound movements are great if your goal is to work on balance, but at this time I just want big muscles! AWESOME JOB as usual, ! Sculpt Sweatfest * I used my step and didn't include the core work w/ the upper body or any of the balance. I just wanted to focus on straight upper body rotator cuff (lying side) 3 arms lifting and lowering in a T, Y, and then W position, with short cobras in between- no weight kneeling on the ball sequence with opposite biceps curl & triceps overhead extension alternating with lateral raises - 10 elbow planks on ball(did these on my step) triceps dips off ball with foot / feet on Bosu (did these off my step) chest press (alternating and together), then chest press with rotation (shoulder comes off ball), and then chest press with crunch. (I did these on my step and didn't do the crunches- 10 biceps curls 12 one-armed bent over row- 15 stretch This was a good combo, but I still didn't get what I was really looking for this morning with upper body. I think I needed to do something like Pyramid upper body, something like that. I need that good burn which I haven't felt in what seems like a long time. Though I worked, I didn't finish feeling like " WOW my arms worked hard " The workout was 50 minutes total. Have a great day! ~~
