Guest guest
Hello everyone. I am 10 days into an appalling flu-type viral infection - fevers over 39c even after ibuprofen and paracetamol and I am seriously thinking of getting vaccintaed against flu next autumn, although I have avoided the jabs for quite a few years. I have diabetes so my mmune sustemfor chest infection and the temperatures aren't as bad.) Is there a form of flu vaccine that's got less rubbish in it than the others? At several points with this illness I have been concerned about the terrible strain my heart was under - felt extremely ill and could see for the first time how flu could kill a weak person. Have been dosing up on supplements and herbals etc, though I ran out of echinacea very early on. Apparently the nasal vaccine can't be used on people my age nor with diabetics. I think I shall ask the GP about having access to antivirals next time. (Which ones?) back to my sick bed now.. Henry had it and was better after a day or two.
