Sandy,I'm going to look up some recipes as you suggested. Chickpeas is something Karl is OK with and he loves flat bread. Thanks for sharing, To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Sent: Wednesday, June 27, 2012 9:03 AM Subject: OT- Chickpea flat bread

Hi all,

Sorry this isn't SCD/GAPS (I think chickpeas are excluded). We've started making a flat "bread" with chickpea flour and have found it is very tasty. This sort of flat chickpea bread is traditional in other cuisines, e.g., as socca bread. There are various recipes on-line (and videos on youtube). We soak chickpea flour (also called gram flour) for a few hours, or overnight, with equal amount of water. Then add some oil and salt and cook for 15-20mins in a very hot oven. Comes off a pyrex baking tray ok (but cleaning the tray takes a bit of persistence).

Next we may try a sourdough or soda variant.

Best wishes, Sandy

I have a fantastic GAPs legal recipe for a flat bread/tortilla type thing that

uses soaked lentils. I can't link to it but i'll post it later if i get a

moment.

Hi Charlotte,

Lentil bread sounds a really nice. Unfortunately we can't have eggs or flax and

want to avoid using cheese if we can. I'm guessing it would be crumbly (?)

without one of these ingredients but I'm hoping to have a go.

Best wishes, Sandy
