OT- What sugar for Kombucha

Hello, I am attempting to make Kombucha tea for the first time. I have bought

some Fairtrade golden granulated unrefined cane sugar from Sainsburys to use.

Will this work? I know white sugar is best and this sugar, although not brown is

not really white either. What sugar do you all use? TIA Sue
