Guest guest
wanted to share about these shoes, I bought them for ds totally by accident (he needed new school shoes and I liked the look of these , it turns out they are based on new design and technology that is supposed to maximise sensory input and improve balance & coordination, sports performance etc. ds now loves them and I must say his walking and esp running appears less clumsy, more coordinated... (could partly be due to qigong, but also these shoes as there was noticable difference on day 1) Note: they do warn that it takes a while - the brain and body - to adjust to wearing these. On the first day ds could hardly walk to school (walked sideways!) but by the end of the day was absolutely loving them and was trying out running, jumping etc... If anyone's kids have tried wearing these I'd love to compare notes! http://www.vivobarefoot.com/uk/kids.html?pg=1 (can also be found on amazon etc) Natasa

Guest guest
hi natasa, , this link looks interesting, zach has insoles, the first time 4 years ago they damaged his soles so much they were bleeding took 10 weeks to heal, this time we were advised by a sensible physiotherapist to do it for 2 hours a day, this meant I told the school to put them in his shoes at 1 pm, now after 6 weeks he can wear them all the time, i think with this link you have sent, it would be wize to try out after school for anybody wishing to do this and gradually build it up. The physio did not inform me of how long we should have them in his shoes, which I felt was unprofessional, but I would have thought until you saw a clear normal instep and normal gait Isobel > > wanted to share about these shoes, I bought them for ds totally by > accident (he needed new school shoes and I liked the look of these , it > turns out they are based on new design and technology that is supposed to > maximise sensory input and improve balance & coordination, sports > performance etc. > > ds now loves them and I must say his walking and esp running appears less > clumsy, more coordinated...
