Guest guest
I came across this web page by accident but thought it interesting. We are being advised to do low temperature washes to save energy but this may lead to everything being coated in harmful bacteria, which can cause skin and other problems, and with a lot of our children not being fully continent I thought this was especially relevant. The writer thinks " eco " wash balls are completely inadequate, as well, and says why. http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/appliance-industry-news/41-news/3226-low-temperatu\ re-washes-slammed-in-reports.html I have been using Napisan for many years in the wash as this sanitises laundry but it has casue the door seal to become hard and then the door leaked. Whern I had the seal replaced last week the repair man - who said he's been mending washing machines for 40 years - said what had happende with the door seal was rare nowadays but used to be common in the days before disposables nappies. The pipework in the machine was also very scaled up and he said this was the Napisan, as well. Not sure what to do now! Napisan is great becaseu it doesn't cause skin problems in my son but all the other stain removing powders eg Vanish do, because unlike Napisan , they contain enzymes. We have to avoid enzymnes in washing products or Henry gets awful dry skin and patches which could become eczema. Margaret
