Guest guest
Hi all My son spent all day very hyper and didn't respond half as well in his aba programme today. He was not himself. Laughing out loud, babbling non stop, singing, counting, jumping on us all at once. He was bloto during aba, no response for nearly a min at a time. He's 5 on a gfcf diet. He had been doing great and the only thing that has changed was that I had stopped giving him apple, grapes and their products a couple of days ago trying to do a urine test on him and only managed to get it done first thing this am after a few failed attempts so had been keeping him off these fruits. We had taken refined sugar off his diet and he had two little stars jellies last night because my daughter had tea with friends and he was left out. He goes to school ams perhaps he grabbed another childs cake or biscuit... I gave him diluted pressed apple juice today but other than that can't think of anything else. Does apple or a little sugar like in jelly cause this reaction on your kids? Is it worth trying to establish what happened today? It was so unlike him we were all puzzled... Guest guest
I was avoiding apples and grapes for a urine test that had to be done first thing in the morning. He normally has these fruits. with sugar I've noticed he does go hyper after having it but he had the jelly last night, I didn't think it would last all day today... May be he had too many carbs today. Dr. G asked us to reduce it considerably. I've tried some of the gaps foods like banana bread and almond biscuits he doesn't eat them. Not sure what to do about that one... I'm not giving him any gfcf cakes of biscuits so he's just not having them until he decides to eat the gaps one. It's a battle of wills. > > It used to within 20 mins when Sam was small > > Why are you avoiding fruits for a test or are you avoiding fruits for > another reason? > > Mandi x > > > In a message dated 26/06/2012 21:20:41 GMT Daylight Time, > dunningfamily@... writes: > > Does apple or a little sugar like in jelly cause this reaction on your > kids? >
Guest guest
just thought he's recently started taking culturelle. once a day one capsule. Does anyone know if this causes a reaction initially in some kids? we're still waiting for test results but dr. G has said he's bloated and not looking well digestion wise... >
Guest guest
For yes, all probiotics we have tried so far caused reactions, and not only initially … Natasa Reply-To: "Autism-Biomedical-Europe " <Autism-Biomedical-Europe >Date: Tue, 26 Jun 2012 21:10:48 -0000To: "Autism-Biomedical-Europe " <Autism-Biomedical-Europe >Subject: Re: Ds too hyper today just thought he's recently started taking culturelle. once a day one capsule. Guest guest
He may well be having a die off of bug because of the culturelle, that's a positive-negative, ie its working. Activated charcoal between supps (an hour away either side) might help his behaviours if they are caused by the gut bugs Mandi x just thought he's recently started taking culturelle. once a day one capsule.
