Guest guest
I don't wear jewelry but the HRM is a must for me cycling (why I need to get a new one). I did a seminar where we wore them but covered and tried to correlate exertion with fitness zones (We did max test earlier that day to get our real zones) and man I lie to myself all the time. I think I am working hard but I really can work much harder. I have great cardio capacity just no knees..which why the cardiokarate intrigues me..looks doable for me ... may use some of my credits with MAry and get thatjudy To: exercisevideos Sent: Thursday, February 2, 2012 10:44 AM Subject: I admire all you pedomter, HRM, and FitBit adorners I will wear my HRM once in awhile but all in all I can't stand wearing stuff like this. I don't wear watches or jewelry either Perceived rate of exertion works best for me!it's fun hearing y'all talk about your steps though! Guest guest
I don't usually wear much jewelry beyond earrings, my wedding ring and my watch and those I normally take off as soon as I get home because I don't like the feel of them weighing down on me. (Yet, for some reason, I feel like they help "finish" my outfits outside the house, kind of like how my mom, no matter what, had to put on lipstick every time she left the house, no other makeup, very little jewelry, but she had to wear lipstick!) I only wear the watch out of the house too because I am often in locations for work where there are not clocks in the room and I have to make sure to start and end meetings on time! I usually use my pink Polar F6 HRM as my watch and hate working out without it. I find I overestimate my PRE, especially in the beginning of a workout, when I'm having a hard time getting going. I feel like I'm going to die but my monitor tells me my HR is only something like 122! :-) So, in my case anyway, it keeps me honest! :-) I admire all you pedomter, HRM, and FitBit adorners I will wear my HRM once in awhile but all in all I can't stand wearing stuff like this. Guest guest
I wear the gowearfit by bodymedia.com. I wear it on my calf, since I often use a nordic pole when I walk. If I need my husbands arm for assistance it doesn't count as accurately if its on my arm, so the leg works much better. It doesn't bother me at all.I love being able to monitor the calories burned, steps, activity levels, etc. Yesterday I got in 8 miles.
