Guest guest
We had a baseline done at breakspear the first time we saw Dr G back in March, results were terrible, cytokine activity all over the place, oxygen levels really really low, between 4 - 7%, they like then to be 60% plus. Dr G said the oxygen levels were low and cytokine activity high because of the underlying infections. x To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: mysuperteach@...Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2012 09:52:29 +0000Subject: Autonomic response testing Could anyone comment on the helpfulness a nd ease of doing this? I am especially interested in knowing about anyone who has done a lot of biomed prior to the testing and if it was still useful at that point. Guest guest
Yes we have done a boatlaod and yes it was still useful, the stress my child is under neurologically was there on the screen, its helped me understand some situations but didn;t really change treatment plan but I got the idea that it would be useful, to measure the treatment which is the same either way Also gratifying that Sam O2 levels were much better than most ASD kids and that Scotson is doing real good Mx Could anyone comment on the helpfulness a nd ease of doing this? Guest guest
thanks Mandi, thanks :-) going to make some enquiries here regarding cost and their experience with ASD kids. Guest guest
We had two done, they were not stressful in any way and I don't regret doing them - as Mandi said it sort of helps mentally to know what your child is going through. On the other hand I don't think they were helpful at all in terms of treatments as we would have probably done the same things anyways based on symptoms alone. They were more helpful for the doc in terms of getting b & w confirmation of what was suspected, but then again I don't think a mainstream, autism-illiterate doc would have a faintest idea what to do with the results, so really depends on your circumstances... Having said that there could be some specific things that the test is capable of detecting that MIGHT call for specific treatments (like oxygen tank/mask ?) so that could be a potential thing to target ??
