Guest guest
Yes DS has them too and I too thought they could be an indicator of Bartonella and therefore maybe Lyme ? Guest guest
Hi Yes it's very interesting, is the NHS investigating for connective tissue disorder?both my daughters ,one nt but with allergies and migraines, and dd with severe autism have the hyper mobile joints ,severe stretch marks.I have always been to scared to push investigation in case they find cardiac involvement.Apparently scoliosis is connected with mercury,.Becky Dutton who runs a website called mercury madness is doing research on this, it might be worth emailing her.I'm wondering how to get Bartonella investigated as it would account for a lot of CDs health problems.BWKathSent from my iPad Hi, My son is the same, stretch marks on his back, from the waist down which started as he shot up in height and hyper mobile joints. I am in the process of investigating whether he has a connective tissue disorder or not. He also has mild scoliosis. I've had a quick look at some pictures of the lyme stretch marks and these seem to occur in more odd places and they actually look like something is under the skin making the mark, look here: http://www.lymedisease.org/limages/bartonella-rash.gif http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3040/2563910072_dfbd488e7c.jpg?v=0 Nikki x > > > Yes Sam has them, lower back.......... > > > > Mx > > > > > > > > > > Has anyone had a child going through puberty with stretch marks? Just wondered if we are on our own with this or not? I am hoping they fade as at the moment they are noticeable to say the least. > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Nicki,Thanks you have reminded me we have some private medical insurance so could explore that avenue but as you say it's not easy either.I know I am burying my head in the sand but don't want to give myself anything else to worry about!Becky Dutton is very helpful, she had mercury toxicity herself after handling mercury as a dental nurse. Her daughter has a severe scoliosis. She is doing research to look at the link between mercury toxicity and scoliosis, and allergy / sensitivity to heavy metals. She is campaigning to stop treatment of scoliosis with metal rods because often people are allergic to the metal rods, but once they are in situ they have to stay. Just something else to think about!KathSent from my iPad Hi Kath, No luckily we have private insurance cover, so we are doing it that way, i'm sure it would have been a big headache trying to get the NHS to do anything! .......but even doing it privately i'm still hitting problems as the doc i'm seeing also work in the NHS and he cant understand why i want to have further investigations done as ds already has autism!!!!...earrghhhhh give me strength.....luckily he is happy to take the money, after i insisted he does something! The possibility of cardiac involvement is the reason i am pushing for investigations, i would rather know than not know. I hadn't realised scoliosis may be connected to mercury toxicity i will have a look at that website you mention, thanks!
