Cross Contamination

Hi there,

I've recently started the gf/cf diet with my son with good results so far. I am just wondering how careful I should be about cross contamination? For example should I allow him to have chips at a restaurant that cannot guarantee their chips will not be fried in oil that other products containing gluten have been fried in. I'm not sure if I need to be this strict or not?

Any thoughts?
