Guest guest
Good morning! I've been really itching to do upper body. I had down to do the Firm Upper Body, but previewed it last night and I remember doing it and its all from the classics and they lack bigtime in biceps. Also a lot of 4-limp which isn't "upper body" workout to me. I'm pretty confident that I'm putting this DVD (which has standing legs on it as well) in the garage sale pile. So I went with a different combo. I did Cathe's Cardio & Weights (timesaver upper body heavy weights) and Tracey S. Sculpt Sculpt Sweatfest (Burn it up mix- all upper body). I've not done Sculptfest very many times at all. Here's how it all went together. Cardio & Weights warm up Back - DB rows 20 Chest- pushups into planks Shoulders- over head extensions 10, lateral raise 8 Triceps- close grip bench press 12, lying tricep extensions 8 Biceps- curls 12 Sculpt Sweatfest * I used my step and didn't include the core work w/ the upper body or any of the balance. I just wanted to focus on straight upper body rotator cuff (lying side) 3 arms lifting and lowering in a T, Y, and then W position, with short cobras in between- no weight kneeling on the ball sequence with opposite biceps curl & triceps overhead extension alternating with lateral raises - 10 elbow planks on ball(did these on my step) triceps dips off ball with foot / feet on Bosu (did these off my step) chest press (alternating and together), then chest press with rotation (shoulder comes off ball), and then chest press with crunch. (I did these on my step and didn't do the crunches- 10 biceps curls 12 one-armed bent over row- 15 stretch This was a good combo, but I still didn't get what I was really looking for this morning with upper body. I think I needed to do something like Pyramid upper body, something like that. I need that good burn which I haven't felt in what seems like a long time. Though I worked, I didn't finish feeling like "WOW my arms worked hard" The workout was 50 minutes total. Have a great day! ~~
Guest guest
Yay!! I will definitely in the future want to use STS for body part specific days when I can't get to the gym. It's fun for me to read what you do and the weights you use! I'm jealous you use 20's on the fly's! I used to be able to but when I injured my shoulder and part of my pec it doesn't like it when I go heavy on flys anymore. Grrr. Good job, as usual!!! Good morning! This week I'm doing one body part a day using High Reps and STS Total Body. I've not tried this combo before so I wasn't sure when I came up with the idea how it would work. Today was chest. I started with The Firm (still working on getting these finished up) and did Express Cardio. Skipped the cool down and went right into High Reps chest. I have to say I was surprised that I really enjoyed Express Cardio. It was short and not too hard, but was fun. They use the transfirmer in this one and I just used my high step. When they put the transfirmer on an incline I had to kind of do my own version of what they were doing, but it was like my own segment, sort of lol. Like I said, not all that hard, but fun. I'm thinking I will keep this one for those short on time days where I want just a little bit of cardio. This one would also be good for not feel so good days too. High Reps Pushups- toes/knees Chest flys- 15 push ups- toes/knees STS Total Body Bench Press BB 35 Chest flys 20 Bench press BB 35 Chest flys 15 I burned 315 calories (225 with the cardio) avg 136, max 166, steps 2,914 and this was all around 47 minutes. Have a great day!~~

Guest guest
I got rid of Express Cardio. I could not follow the steps in it at all and finally just gave up and got rid of it. I wanted to like it, I thought it was a decent workout, I just was too step-impaired for it! :-) Monday Workout Good morning! Guest guest
.. I could not follow the steps in it at all and finally just gave up and got rid of it. I wanted to like it The steps are tricky and I got confused a few times myself. Plus, since I don't have the transfirmer I had to modify and that was tricky too. ~*´¨¸ *.• ´¸.•*´¨ ¸.•*¨ .•´ ¸ .*
