Treatment for teenage spots

Just while we are on the topic of natural remedies for natural issues, not just

related to autism, such as toothpaste and deodorant, I thought I would ask if

anyone has suggestions for treating spots?

Our does not have full blown acne, but has the odd yuk spot or cluster of

them now and then and persistent blackheads close to his lips. At 15-16 I know

this is to be expected, but while his sister has a lotion with zinc and

antibiotic on prescription, I am reluctant to use it on him.

Any suggestions?

High dose vitamin a might help, it needs to be taken for a good few months.
