Guest guest
Had a fun workout tonite! 3 sets of 8, 8 counts up, 8 counts down:Life Fitness Curls (12 levels total) level 5, 6, 6Hammer Curls20's, 15's, 12. 5'sW's12.5's, 12's, 10's Single Arm Crossover Cable Curls:12.5, 12.5, 12.5For Core this evening I used machines, 3 sets of 10, regular count:Low Back Extension (Life Fitness)100, 110, 115Torso Rotation (Life Fitness) 90, 90, 90 each sideLife Fitness Abs (12 levels total)Level 8, 10, 10I hope I feel it in my core tomorrow. To be honest, the crunch machine and torso rotation machine seem gimicky to me and I'm not sure I'll continue using them. The 50 crunches I did on the stability ball last week felt much harder. If I'm sore in the next couple of days though I'll continue using them for another month til my " 8 count " rotation is up. The low back extension machine, on the other hand, is excellent, in my opinion! After that was the best part, the Executive Workout - hot tub conversation with the usual gym night dweller crew, steam room, sauna, and dog paddle laps in the pool with a noodle to cool off. I really, really love it there. It's just so low key and so uncompetitive, unlike any other gym I've been at. Two of the hot tub guys, one retiree and one guy in his mid 30's don't even work out, they just have the membership to hang out in the pool area every single night, for example. The pool is saline and has less chlorine and is always the perfect temperature. Will and I flirt / tease each other in a platonic way and sort of put on a show for the rest of the gang, and we continue to joke around at Safeway afterward. i'm always a little bummed when it's over, but, there's always tomorrow! Jen you would especially love this gym for the water volleyball nights!
