woowooI am sometimes like this.. rather stay home read, workout or be with dogs than my nutty friends but then I do get the go out bug...fyi - I need more kickboxing dvds! I have found that besides biking these are one of the true workouts where I get my heart rate up without killing my knees... I think I need to look into more.. judy To: Exercise Videos <exercisevideos > Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2012 4:26 PM Subject: a profitable Esplanade Walk

I feel guilty sometimes that I'd rather exercise than do fun things with people. I chose my walk today over lunch with a friend and listened to my intriguing audiobook (a mystery) on my iPod and it felt so nice as always to be outside during the day. I didn't walk yesterday and was feeling antsy.

Plus it was profitable - I found two dimes.I also bagged going out to a french restaurant with my folks last night in favor of kickboxing. I'm happy to say my abs are getting sorer by the minute! The core section included walking planks, held planks, and then some pushups in addition to regular crunch drills, and we did both of these sections twice.

maybe because those things seem to involve food / eating /

restaurants. which is a really great way for people to

socialize but is hell on your eating program. why not invite

your friend out for a walk and bring double whatever you would

normally eat so you can share. your walk will be different...

slower and chatty... but sociable, fun and still exercise all at

the same time :)

i dont know if your parents kickbox, but do you think they would

like a pass to that seniors gym that you go to? then maybe have

them over to your place for dinner ala laura :)

some friends do like to walk but this person is afraid she'll get too sweaty.  My folks do NOT eat healthy, I've fought that losing battle with them a few times :)  I really need to focus on me and burn off this chub!

Thank you, Carolyn, I am having a good day. I slept through the night without my foot bothering me even once and woke up without it screaming as I put it down on the floor AND the pain from the cortisone injection I got Thursday finally seemed to be gone as of last night! It is a good day! :-) I'm glad you enjoyed your walk, sometimes that is soooo nice not to have to interact with other human beings! ;-) I have to go do paperwork and pay bills, so I'll blah your housework and you can blah my paperwork! :-)

I exercise with my friends every day! Today and I did some Tae Bo -- I

play with Chalene when I feel down; she cheers me up -- My friend is

always there when I just want a simple walk -- I know Cathe can really challenge

me!

I have lots of friends to exercise with!

That's why I love playing volleyball, wallyball or bowling...I get the best of both worlds. I get to exercise AND do fun things with people. Even though those activities are anaerobic they are still exercise. I sometimes need a break from people whether I want to go exercise or not. I'm an introvert, meaning I get my strength/rest from recharging alone. I LOVE going for a walk outside. I always feel happier and at peace. JenFrom: Pink Pussycat
