Guest guest
I didn't get home until late (12:30) last night because my mom fell and had a nasty concussion. I spent most of the evening in the ER until they got a room to keep her overnight. She has some minor bleeding on the brain, that they expect to stop by itself, but want to closely monitor it " just in case. " (Mom's 87, with dementia.) The dementia really complicates diagnosing a head injury, and whether she's " with it " or not. The doctors asked her questions like, " How old are you? " (51) and " What year is this? " (1948) and look to us, asking if that is " normal. " Also, she complains to Dad about the terrible headache, and tells the doctor she has no pain... ( " What about the headache? " " Oh, yes...that...yes, my head hurts. " ) I don't think I'll get a regular workout in today. As soon as Dad's up, we'll be heading to the hospital. I think it's going to be a long day, again... Prayers would be most welcome! Indyrose
