Jen's exercise for Wednesday 02/22/12 Project YOU Rotation - Day 3Tonight I did Project YOU - Upper Body/Abs - 30 minutesI liked this workout. The only problems I had are with are the typical ones for me ie push-ups and tricep dips. My triceps are so weak that not even Chalean Extreme could help them...oh well. I struggled with the push-ups and couldn't do the 3 in 1's but I did do better with them than I did before.Another comment about the workout - Kathy should have demonstrated some of the moves more especially the bicep curls to military press. I didn't have trouble with it but new-bes would.No walk for me tonight because my knee is aching due to the weather. We are expecting a storm system with

hi jen!

i detest tricep dips... ugh! i dont do them from such a high

surface as a chair, but use my step bench... if that is too much

i just do them with my hands on the floor!

still works!

or just substitute a different tricep exercise for those dreaded

things.

i did the pushups with my thighs on the ball, that was a really

good modification for me.

nice going on your workout. sorry to hear that your knee is

acting up and you cant do more walking :( hang in there and i

Maybe after I start losing weight again the tricop dips will be easier, until then I will keep trying them but NO 3 in 1's for me! I did the push-ups on my knees...I did 6 in a row, rested and did another 4 or 5 which is pretty good for me. I don't know if I will be able to do PY tomorrow because we are getting a new furnace installed and no way I'm going to exercise in front of the guys! I also can't walk because my treadmill is in the basement and that's where our furnace is, of course. If worse comes to worse I will either use volleyball as my exercise or I will take tomorrow (Thursday) as my rest day. Jen

Thanks Donna! My knee feels better today but I'm sore after playing volleyball tonight...probably because we played 4 vs 4 which is a lot more running around...oh well, at least I got some exercise in! Jen

Me too. I can't do triceps dips, plus they don't seem safe to me. I sub another exercise.
