Guest guest
Hi , It was easier finding my other note and coping it here. My surgery was anterior though. Several years ago I had severe neurological pain down both arms for several years. A MRI showed badly herniated cervical disks. Finally in 1992 I had cervical spinal fusion of C5-C6-C7. I was in the hosptial 3 mights. On a PCA pump for 2 days. I didn't have Atlantoaxial Subluxation though and am not familiar with that. I wore a hard collar for a month then a soft one. At night I could take my hard one off and use the soft one. Since my surgery I have had no neuro pain in my arms. I do have limited neck extension though. I can only look up so far before it's uncomfortable. To drink the bottom of a soda can, I do a back bend. LOL. My friend had a cervical fusion 6 weeks ago. Hers was much better than mine. She is doing well, too. I can ask her if hers was posterior. Good luck, Debbie L
