New Diabetic Drug - Byetta

I know that there are many of us that have RA also have Type 2

Diabetes. I was just reading an article that was in my local paper

about a new drug that is out called Byetta. It is a twice a day shot

that not only helps control our sugar levels but helps us loss weight.

I was wondering if there anyone out here that might be taking this drug

along with some of our RA medicine. My Dr. is leary about my trying it

along with my Kineret.

Beth, I also have type 2 diabetes, but I'm not on Byetta. However, I do

know that there are some mailing lists just for Byetta users. Why don't

you look on and see if you can find one? You could join and then

learn about others' experience with the drug.

Many people are taking Byetta and I see positive results posted. There are lots

of negative comments about packing, shipping and such as it is destroyed if the

temp. is above 80 and that is causing problems. There are several very good

diabetic sites. I have not paid a lot of attention to the specifics as I don't

take it.

Sorry, I don't remember the rules on this site in the regard to posting

information about other sites. I cannot go back and read the rules tonight as I

am having some real difficulties. But I can point you to several good sites.

Check sites and find the groups that has 200 - 300 members. A Byetta site

should be interesting if there is such.
