Guest guest
> SUPER out there question, but how tall are you Judy? jen and i have the same question but in addition to judy's height, we are wondering how tall michelle and angelica are. because jen and are are both under 5'2 " we are getting less mileage for our fitbit steps than you all are, so we are thinking that you have longer legs and therefore a longer stride length. we can adjust our stride length with fitbit, but it is a PITA for me to calibrate (jen has a treadmill so it is a bit easier for her to do) so i think i will just live with it... but we are just curious, :*carolyn. Guest guest
I'm 5'3. My legs aren't long. In fact, when I had my bike fit done, my femur length was short for my height. I don't own a car. I walk or bike everywhere. When I walk my commute instead of riding, it's 3-6 miles depending upon which route I take, or if I hop on a bus for part of it. I also walk to the grocery store and carry my groceries home, and I do daily grocery trips because I can't load a ton of stuff into the trunk of a car. I also go for brisk walks on my breaks to clear my head. So, although my job is sedentary, the rest of the time, I'm on the move. That's why my miles are high. I have compared the mileage from the fitbit to gmaps pedometer. You can map a route there. It's not over counting. On Fridays, my day off, I like to head out to a 10-15 mile hike. ------------------------------------

Guest guest
One of the reasons we moved to our current home is that it was downtown, and it would make it easy for me to walk all my errands. I'm so much happier without a car. Traffic around here is heavy and aggressive, and driving to and from work used to put me in such a bad mood. Because of my daily walks or bike rides, I feel calmer, more centered, and it gives me this great baseline of cardio. I'm happy when I get to work, and I'm happy when I get home. The downside is what happens when things go wrong, like with last year's injuries, especially that brain injury. A car would have helped, but I somehow got through it. Hopefully I won't have any other such problems for a very long time. > I'm 5'3. thankyou. you get an amazing amount of steps... every single day! it is that consistency that i want to achieve. :*c. ------------------------------------
Guest guest
Why do I picture you and Carolyn as really tall... I don't know!! Weird. Maybe you both seem like giants in my fitness world!! :-) (4'11 3/4" and the small ball is even a little big sometimes but most of the time works well, in case anyone cares!) :-) Re: Re: height question I'm 5'3. Guest guest
LOL! This makes me love the internet even more, HAHAHA! Best thing ever. ;)In reality, I'm a short n' stocky menopausal, thick eyeglass-wearing nerdy girl. I know my stride length because I had measured it and used it in my old pedometer. I input that into the Fitbit website, so it's giving me really good readings. Why do I picture you and Carolyn as really tall... I don't know!! Weird.
