Okay, what's a congdon curl? And what are w's too?

I didn't get to my triceps workout today. I've finally had a few minutes this evening to just sit. It is very late and I am wiped out. Tomorrow promises to be every bit as crazy and I'm not even going to set myself up for failure by saying I'm going to do it. I will put it on my schedule for Monday, the next most likely day I'll work out.

Will save this idea for biceps too (once I figure out what these things are)! :-)

congdon curl = regular curl on the way up, hammer curl on the way downW's are side bicep curls - you look like a letter W in the mirror doing them - Chalene calls them w's and it stuck with me better than side bicep curls.  And face it, biceps are kinda boring to train and they need spicing up!

My one body part a day workout takes 25-35 minutes.  I love that I can get this done on my lunch hour if need be!  I prefer the machines at CAC but the Sweat Shop has all of the bare basics that anyone would ever need, and then some (we have a hanging heavy bag and weighted hula hoops there too, for example)

My rotationm now that Shamrock is over and I'm seeing Noel, will be something like this:Sunday:  long run outside Monday: back and biceps Tuesday: legsWednesday: OFFThursday: chest and triceps

Friday: shouldersSaturday:  kickboxingI hope to get some walks outside in during lunch as well.

I meant to add to my other reply that I love the fact your one body part workouts are so quick but I'm sure, effective. I'll have to allow extra time at first probably because I've never worked out with weights without a video unless I knew the exercises cold. I think I know the ones you've mentioned in some of your posts but am still feeling a bit anxious about flying solo! :-) I'm really excited about the idea of this though and can't wait to have that extra time to put into trying them out and then just needing a short bit to do them after. Monday should be good for a first go. I only work from 8-1:30 then have lunch and should still have enough time before comes home from school (I like to be done with whatever else needs doing when the kids come home from school so I can give them my full attention to greet them and hear about their days, help with homework, etc.). I might even make time Sunday, but I doubt it knowing me. I need time without family around so I can focus and enjoy myself more easily!

I know I love the 1-2 body part per day gig because that's what Noel and other bodybuilders do.  If you want to look defined, go heavy with fewer reps (as opposed to Jari Love / Body Pump workouts that focus more on endurance / getting " toned " ) 

To look really bulky as a woman you need to take pharmaceuticals, you'll look nothing but gorgeous lifting this way!  You're already slender, this will get you looking really strong!  It doesn't take a lot of time, and it's fun to work out to music that motivates you.

That's my other challenge, trying to find music to do it with. I think for now I'll just do it without because I need to just focus on the exercises and building the confidence to do them on my own. The music will be fun to find later probably.

Your comments made me think too, I'm not sure now what is the difference betwen defined & toned?
