My folks are the first to point out how fat I am yet when I don't want to eat their fattening food I'm silently accused of being a picky princess. I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't.

I totally understand that. Our family ONLY gets together if there is a meal involved. In fact, we eat out with my dad every weekend and that's the only time I see him is when we meet at the restaurant. Yeah, I could go visit him, but he lives about 30 minutes from me and with spending so much time in the car taking to school and going back to get her puts a strain on me and the gas tank.

It's true, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. You make the choices that YOU want to make with food at family gatherings and when they say something just don't even answer them lol. That's what I do. My family knows that I don't eat ANYTHING after a certain time so even at Christmas when everyone came over I served cookies and desserts. They all ate it and I just sat there with my Cappuccino. They're use to it so they don't say anything anymore.

this is an excellent point. if you stay strong and do not let

them destroy you, then they will give up and finally accept you

for who you are.

That is awesome, . It's so true: damned if you do, damned if you don't, so you might as well do right for yourself. They might eventually get used to it.
