Guest guest
Two days in a row with no pain at night! Daytime is still not great but I think after I see the doc tomorrow it should be better, he can adjust my orthotics again and hopefully that will mean no more heel pain. I *think* the pinched nerve is getting better but I'm not positive (the heels are too distracting). Anyway, I had extra time this morning so I did The FIRM Lower Body Sculpting. It is a "parts" floor work video with Kathy Derry as the hostess. As I was doing it I was thinking, "What it lacks in creativity, it makes up for in repetition." If it weren't for changing leads and having Kathy come on every few minutes for a transition, I think it would be too boring. It was FIRM classics though so it was still challenging. I used 2 lb. ankle weights and usually an 8 or 10 lb. dumbbell where you're told to use the dumbbell. There was one set of exercises I had to do without anything but the ankle weight and then it was still really tough to get through all the reps. I have very few floor workouts so I'm holding onto it for now but if that were different, it might go bye-bye for boring. After that, I did Tamilee Webb's "I Want Those Arms" program 2, which is almost all done in a chair. I haven't done it or much of any other upper body work in a long time (because I'd been having chest muscle issues for a month or so along with the foot, what a mess) and it felt great to use my muscles. I still have them too! I used mostly 10s but switched to 8s for some of the overhead work (that stuff is a lot harder seated, I've decided) and 5s for the rear flies (could have gone heavier though). The only things not done seated are the warm-up, triceps dips (if you're doing them right your feet aren't getting any weight so those were fine for me) and one-armed triceps pushups on the ground so this was a good one to do. I'm feeling great that I worked out, hopefully the rest of the day will go well and the big test for pain is always night (usually right around 3 or 4 in the morning) so we'll see how that is too, hopefully it will be fine though and I'll feel encouraged to do something else tomorrow. Guest guest
Yay for not being in pain at night, . I'm sure that makes sleep a lot better for you.I did this firm workout not too long ago and put it in the sell pile. I liked it, but it was definitely lacking something.~~ Sent from my Thunderbolt 4GLTE ----- Reply message -----To: <exercisevideos >Subject: Feelin' good & worked outDate: Wed, Mar 14, 2012 10:51 am Two days in a row with no pain at night! Guest guest
Thanks, ! Yes, the last two nights I think I've actually slept without waking up at all (not even DH bugging me with snoring and movement). It is so nice! I'm glad I wasn't alone on that workout. I'll have to try some of the other floor workouts I have and see if I have enough others that I'll do more and then I might get rid of this after all. It kind of violates my no-hoarding policy for myself to hold onto something because I "might" use it again. I have a feeling I won't too. Will see though. Guest guest
Thank you so much, Carolyn! It felt so good to do a "real" workout and not baby myself too much too. Sometimes I definitely do have to take a lot of care but sometimes I don't and today I didn't feel like I needed to and it was great!
