Guest guest
I could not reasonably go to the back of the store where the milk always is and make it back to the car. One day at Walmart, I was having a bad time, the checker asked me if I was OK. I don't think she had seen me walk. I told her my feet hurt. She said she could get someone to take me to my car. The policeman that is always around does that. Stubborn!! I said no I was O.K.. Out I went. About half way to my car I just could do no more. There was a tree that had a cement enclosure that was a little higher than a normal chair. It was really hot but I was thankful for the little shade. So I sat knowing I was to the end of my limit. When a guy came around collecting baskets I told him I could not walk the rest of the way to the car. He sent the cop car for me and drove me to my car. That was a far worse scene than had I just taken the chair in the first place. Embarrassment won out over stubborn. After that I used the chair from the store. I am happy to say that things have improved since then and now I can walk enough to get the milk and even look around a little, just must be careful to not overdo. It's better to get help before you have to have someone pick you up when you can go no further. " Janet, my experience was the same as a's. once I started using conveniences to get around, I never looked back
