Guest guest
Anyone have any luck loosing weight? I have gained 40 pounds since my diagnoses in 2002. Some of that wieght gain is from my very short pregnancies. Some just because I get depressed and some because I LOVE CHOCOLATE!! I try to be smart about food but I crave the wrong stuff all the time.. I was also trying to follow a diet I read about in 2002 cutting starches way down..no red meat...no acidic foods...and no dairy. It did help with my flare ups but now I am back to doing the bad things. I imposed my diet too much on friends and family..they had to cook special food for me...I felt guilty..so I stopped and started eating like I used to. I hope you all can help me and tell me what's worked for you..exercise and/or choice of foods for weight loss. Thanks Cara
Guest guest
I soooo know what you mean about the chocolates! I was staying with my son and his wife last winter, had a fight with him, and ate a whole box of Dove chocolates in one sitting! That used to be pretty typical behavior for me. Although I've gone through a weight loss class, learned to manage my diet, etc., I really think the thing that has help me the most with the " chocolate binges " is antidepressants. Since my rheumy upped my Celexa, I have been able to deal with stress a lot better, and have been able to limit myself to one or two chocolates pretty easily, even though the situatation with my son has gotten much worse. I've also found that after a while, my appetite has diminished, and I don't want the large portions I used to eat. On 6/12/06, C <hrtswld@...> wrote: > > Anyone have any luck loosing weight?
