Guest guest
> Welcome to the group ! Thx for the warm welcome, Kim You've all been warm and supportive and so helpful... As to your questions, I've had epilepsy for 32 years, altho I've only had a few grand mal seizures. The last two back-to-back ones, however (a little over a year ago) would have killed me had it not been for my husband's CPR efforts. In retrospect, I think those seizures were triggered by inflammation and kind of heralded the descent into RA. The OA and bone spurs and herniated disks have been going on for years, but, like a lot of you I figured it was age. Even though I'm only 44 now, hmmmpphh I think you're right, I need to work on little ways to make life easier now, laundry and dishes and dinner, oh my... >>You might ask your PCP for a script to use your > local YMCA therapy pool at your convience! Wow, can I really do that? I actually joined a gym and started swimming but it was way too much. But I'm thinking with meds and PT I may actually be able to start at least *walking* in the pool. Well, in a month or two I'll ask my rh about neurontin, interestingly enough, my schizophrenic brother takes it. Boy, was I stunned at that article that (?) posted about the correlation between schizo and RA. General question to all of you... You talk about " flares " and I always think of those coming in waves. Like weeks or months long. But I really just have good days and bad days. Well, I have rotten-sucky-hardly-get-out-of-bed days or I have it-sucks-but-I'm -relatively-energetic-and-pain-free-for-at-least-a-few-hour days. Is that the same as flares? One day you feel like you're dying and the next you at least have some mobility and energy? And, I'm very interested in wrist and finger braces, can any of you point me in the right direction? My rh referred me to a hand specialist but I've found that you all are the best source of info >>Foosball may be back in your future! > Stranger things have happened! Well, I won't get my hopes up too high, but I won't give up, either Thx, Kim, and to all of you for being so helpful, it's so nice to have people who know what you're going thru...
