Guest guest
Dear Group, It has been a long time, but I think I am back. The broken leg really got me down in more ways than one and I let it happen too. Not Good. Anyway in the mean time, my insurance company changed, so of course all the Rx's had to be re written and then PA's had to be done for all the non-covered items. Plus my insurance went up twice as much and the cost per rx is 35 not 10 and my Enbrel is 150.00 not 10. It is really hard! I can't imagine not having insurance. But that is not why I am writing. My insurance would not cover Celebrex which I had taken for years and it worked great. My Dr's assistant did not want to write a PA and suggested I try Mobic. Well that just didn't cut it I could barely walk due to the pain. That assistant is now gone for doing some of that on her own. The Dr. Rx'd Lodine and I just started taking it, I noticed that after I would take it -dinner time - I would have approximately 2 hours of low/no pain !!!!!!! I am taking 400 mg but the Dr. said it would take 2 weeks for full affect. I waited about 1 week, and still had the refief just after I took it, so I called and now I take it 2 times per day. I still take Lortabs for severe pain, but the Lodine is helping stop taking so much of the Lortabs. So, so far so good. Gentle Hugs & prayers, Carol M. in CA @>~~~
Guest guest
Carol, I can remember when I broke my leg and it was no picnic. No wonder it's got you down. Then to have to pay so much more for medical care isn't anything to be happy about. But it's great news that you found something that's helping the pain. That is a big accomplishment. I hope you continue to feel better. a On Mar 17, 2006, at 1:06 PM, Dandcmayer@... wrote: > Dear Group, > It has been a long time, but I think I am back.
