I don't know if this will work for the type of pain you have but try L-Glycine and DLPA and lots of ginger.
Guest guest
Oh, Lynn, you went through the ringer. Let's hope that will be it for a looooooong time. I am glad you had good med. care. It's sad to say, but you don't get that just anywhere. Cheers. Lynne <momof6incfl@...> wrote: I wanted to let you know I had surgery, removing lymphnodes on the left side of my neck. I don't know how many. I will get results in a week when I return to the surgeon. They were all very nice and very accomodating regarding my numerous allergies, especially latex. There was no latex in the room at all that day and they didn't use any iodine or betadine on my due to the shellfish allergy, they used something clear. I was given IV and vitamins, my magnesium was low but not dangerously and my heart rate was 96 then ll2, that's as high as I know. Im thankful it wasnt l24 like the other week. I was given a double dose of demerol when I got out of surgery. I didn't get a local so when the pain hit, it was my nerves and muscles. It does hurt, down to the collarbone inside and out. You don't realize how much you use your neck muscles until it's time to lay down and get comfortable or try to get back up! I finally went to bed before 4 this morning and got up at 8. I have become allergic to Darvocet, Im also allergic to Codeine and something else as well as things to mess with the liver since mines enlarged. Those few knock out 3/4 of all pain meds, all thats left is demerol which the dr.doesnt prescribe, ultram and duragesic. Im waiting for the dr. to call something new in. My face is numb and I cant swallow or cough or open my mouth, I can fit a pinkie inbetween my teeth, but its kinda locked. Hopefully I will find out what the biopsies show this week. Mon & Tue I have l0 appts for the kids at Nemours for their celiac issues, I dont want them going through any of this. I think 37 yrs was a long time to go without being treated for it and thats why Ive got all these complications now. If you have any suggestions, please send them this way! Im not sure whats next. 5 things showed as 'hot spots'on the PET scans with SUV's of 6 & 7, anything over 2.5 is usually considered malignant, 4 of the 5 are lymph related, the 5th is left ovary which was ultrasunded last week. I thank everyone for their prayers and good thoughts, it sure helped me to get through this surgery. I know it needed to be done and I had a great amount of peace going through it. Take care everyone. Lynne
Guest guest
(((((Lynne)))) Glad things went well for you with the surgery. Hopefully they will get something for you to control that pain. I'm like you, when it comes to the allergies. Latex being the big one. Also betadine. They may have used either a product called hibiclense or duraprep. Those are the more common preps in place of betadine. I will keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery and negative lab results!!.........marina > > I wanted to let you know I had surgery, removing lymphnodes on the > left side > of my neck. Guest guest
Lynne, I'm so glad your surgery is over. It sounds so terribly uncomfortable. I pray your results are good. Hopefully the numb feeling in your face is gone today. Maybe the swelling from the surgery was pressing on a nerve. If it's still a problem, maybe you should put a call in to the doctor. I hope you pain is better today. a On Mar 18, 2006, at 12:56 AM, Lynne wrote: > I wanted to let you know I had surgery, removing lymphnodes on the > left side > of my neck. I don't know how many.
