Guest guest
, So happy to hear about the good news from your rheumy appt...Hopefully, you will get really good news from Social Security...One of my good friends who also lost her husband when her children were quit young was able to collect benefits for both of her children until they each turned 18....I am praying for you that you and your children will be able collect benefits to as well...Let us know, for we all care about you.....Hugs, N2kids@... wrote: Well my rheumy appt went quicker than i expected. I apologozed for not calling sooner and explained to her what happened. She is switching me to Enbrel since the Humira gave me hives and wasnt working. Also since weaned myself off the prednisone (YAY ME!) and refuse to go back on it she actually gave me a script for darvocet. holey cow, i think i finally got thru to the woman! She didnt test me for Fibro this time, but will the next appointment. Honestly i dont know what is going on with that. All i know is i shouldnt be in pain when my 2 yr old climbs on me or my son puts his chin on my shoulder...ugh. On another note. I finally have an apointment with Social Security for survivor benifits for the kids, maybe myself as well...So things are looking up a bit. May not have to apply for state aid after all. Also, good for you to get some pain medication! Yep, take one thing at a time and hopefully when the RA gets under better control, you then will be able to figure out if there is a fibro side to your pain. I hope that the social security visit goes well and you get help soon. Take care - Kathe in CA thanks Kathe i really hope i dont have fibro...One thing after another it seems, ya know? I am looking forward to the enbrel. Any info you can give me on it? i know its a shot like humira ( ick), but it beats having to drive over an hour or so away to get remicaide infusions...HUGS take care
