Hi Heidi:

I am so sorry to hear that the rash has spread so

badly! How awful for you - even in your mouth? Yech.

Yes, the Prednisone is a wonder drug for the pain.

Expect the pain to begin to begin creeping back in

with decrease in the Prednisone, however. It has

never lasted any longer for me than the length of time

I was on it. Are you remembering to not take it too

close to bedtime? How are you taking that large of a

doseage, two or three times a day? I get wired over

20 mg., so I can see where you are having that problem

with 80 mg. - wow, I would be up all the time too.

Sorry you are so exhausted from not sleeping. It's

such a great drug for pain, but really buzzes me up,

and makes me really grumpy and hungry - just kind of

go away and leave me the food! Hopefully it will be

help the rash go away soon, which can bring your

Prednisone down, and then you can start the medicine

search all over again for your RA. Fun? NO! We have

all been there, however, and will be here to support

you through it. I hope that tomorrow is a better day,

and up from there. Good luck and let us know how it

all goes -
