Guest guest
I was reading in Spectrum magazine that an autistic child with an IQ score of between 60-70 shows a much more positive predictor of future functioning than those below 60. When was tested at 6, she was averaged at 73. I'm confident she would test higher at 9, if only by virtue of her increased maturity. Now, I know that IQ tests for autistic children are pretty much unusuable because they can't sit well for the tests; I know they are no indicator of how much the child really knows...I was told all these things and have read them many times. However, I was wondering if anyone else had knowledge of the general IQ score that would predict a better functional prognosis for our kids.
