Oh, Tracie, I'm so sorry. Even though, yes, that's the way most of us

have lost both of my parents and I was young when they passed, so I am sending

I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. My prayers are with you and your

family.

My father passed away 2 years ago as of June 7th. I was lucky enough to be with

him for the last 7 weeks of his life. I dropped my life here in Chicago, drove

the 3 hours down to their home, moved in with my Mom and Dad and the rest is

history. My father wanted to spend his last days at home with family and

friends. Hospice trained my Mom and myself. He went through a lot with the

morphine. I would not wish that on anyone. But he had to have it for the pain.

He was given 5 years to live and lasted 7. Then at the end he was given a week

or less and we kept him here for 7 weeks. I feel so blessed. But if I could

not leave this life to go to the next the same way he did, I would want to leave

in my sleep. Hold on to the wonderful memories. They will come more and more

often as time goes by. The floodgates will open in more ways than one. The

first few months to few years are difficult. But eventually, you will feel that

he is still with you in more ways than

one. I still miss my father so much. We were very close, but I know he is

everywhere that I am.

OH Tracie! I am so sorry to hear about your father. My prayers are

with you! My dad is in a nursing home with Pick's disease. He is

rapidly going down hill. It's hard on my mom. Quick way is the best

way to go, I think.

My deepest condolences Tracie to you and the family. It is never

easy losing a loved one, especially a parent. I think that is the

best way to go peacefully without trauma. I always say when my eyes

open in the morning,thank you God for another day and I feel if my

eyes opened, then there is still work for me to do even if it is just

being me. Your precious father's work here was done. May you be

surrounded by loving firends and family.
