Guest guest
Good question, . I've been complaining about being so tired all the time and he was checking for hepatitis. My liver has been slightly enlarged and the enzymes have been elevated and since the '80's. It seems that every few years the subject comes up again and I have to go through more tests. I always try to get the copies of the results for my tests so here is what the radiologists said about my liver ultrasound: 1. Unremarkable liver ultrasound 2. The pancreas is slightly echogenic which is nonspecific but could be related to minimal fatty infiltration. 3. (Subtle) hypoechoic area within the right mid pole in the collecting system which could be related to parapelvic cyst, prominent vascular, or a column of Bertin. (Upon review of the case with the technologist, this is likely related to a column of Bertin) Before I got a copy of the report, the rheumy said all was fine so I guess #3 is not too bad. Thanks for the concern, Joanne, IL > LOL, Joanne. > > Why did your doctor order the test? > > > > Not an MD >
Guest guest
I also had an ultrasound that showed a misshaped kidney, which turned out to be the same 'column of Bertin " on a CTScan. Don't you just love the medical education that we are getting? Patsy El Mirage, AZ DX 2005 Stage 1 PBC AIH/SLE/RA 3.
