Guest guest
I suppose I COULD find a way to bring it along, but OTOH, hotels are usually pretty generous in the pillow department. I suspect I can manage to pile enough in different places to make do for a few days. But yes, I had a funny visual Of my pillow strpped into the plane seat next to me too!<g> I told you I am used to a pretty busy life-style.<g> I lecture on aquatic plants. I _hope_ that I can get through all the traveling I have slated between now and July without having a major problem. But I usually book about a year out for speaking engagements. These organizations have alread paid for my plane tickets, and have me included in their advertizing. I feel that I really have to follow through if there is any possible way of doing it. Fortunately, my duties at most conventions consist of giving one, or at most two lectures. I'm always invited to participate in everything else, but I don't have to. So I figure I'll take it really easy, make sure I take naps, use the hot tub and the pool and hope for the best. I'll also try to take advantage of pre-boarding, even if it feels embarassing. I figure the less I have to stand in airpot lines, the better I'll do. We also have two " family " trips coming up that are already booked. My husband and I are going to Costa Rica for our 25th anniversary in June, and then in July we're going our to Albequerque to visit my uncle. But on both of those trips, I'll have other family members around to help with luggage, and the schedule is totally open... I can do what I want and not do what I don't want. I also already have two speaking engagements booked for the fall. At this point, I'm not going to accept engagements beyond those until I know how this is all going to affect me. If I have to pick and choose, I'd rather spend my time and energy on horse stuff. > > > > > > > > > > > Well, at least my hips are feeling better > > after > > > > > > being injected the > > > > > > other day. Guest guest
Hi : I know how airports can be, and the amount of walking that sometimes needs to be done. There are ways to get a wheelchair to take you to your plane boarding area, and also take you after your plane trip to the luggage area. We used to use that for my grandma who had RA, and I would definately do it for myself now. Just a thought, take some stress off of yourself, and off your body, as much as you can. I am not a plant person, and do not have any knowledge of land plants, let alone aquatic lol - my husband is the gardener in our family. Your anniversary trip sounds great - my husband and I have been married 23 years, but together 25. Have wonderful trips, and prayers that your RA does not give you any trouble on them.
