Guest guest
Hello Joanne, I am a new member but I have had RA for 28 years. I am starting my first treatment of Orencia tomorrow, June 5. I am so glad to see that someone else has taken it and I hope it does well for you. I am anxious to see how well it works for me. I honestly do not know how well it is working as I am also given 20 mg of steroids prior to the abatacept so I do not react to the drug as I react to everything it seems. So it could be the prednisone for now making me feel well.. but time will tell. > I have had severe RA for almost 24 yrs and believe me I have tried it all from antibiotic therapy including long term IV antibiotics as well as 18 months of oral.....embrel, Kineret, Arava, Humira, just to name a few...so hopefully this will work.... > I will keep in touch and hope this info is helpful.. > Joanne in PA > > > >
