Guest guest
Flexeril is a muscle relaxant. Some use it for sleep as well...since it does make you very sleepy. I have used it in the past..its a drug that has been around a very long time. It also comes in a generic form so if you have access to the new Walmart or other $4 scrip program it can be a savings to you. I am on Cigna right now and it sucks!!! I pray my hubby's company makes a change this year. Toni

Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I have taken Flexeril in the early days of my discomfort, it provided me little or no relief. Everyone is different, I am only giving you my experience with the drug. Cohen blondie10@... rcohen1@...
Guest guest
I would say no. I have taken Valium before a medical procedure or dental work...and as far as making me sleepy or relaxed...it did NOTHING for me. Now keep in mind dosage has a lot to do with this. So maybe the dose I got was too small for that effect. Flexeril on the otherhand makes me VERY Sleepy within 30-60 mins. Toni
Guest guest
Thanks all for telling me about Flexeril. I want it for a muscle relaxant mostly. Here in Texas our grocery HEB now offers a $5 generic med plan. I signed up for it. Toni, I will pray that your hubby's company with change insurance. It's a hassle but worth it in the long run. Guest guest
Hi Debbie, This is Steph in VA. I have been taking Flexerill since 2002 due to muscle spasms. I take 10mg at bedtime. It really helps me sleep. Guest guest
Debbie, Thanks but doubtful..they like Cigna..cause of course they are cheap!! LOL I am in Texas also. If you are looking for low cost generic meds, check walmart and Kmart. Kmart does 3 months for $15...but the list is very limited. Guest guest
I am way behind here. But want to add my 2 1/2 cents..... I take Flexeril for my neck. I have had miserable headaches from my spine for years. Nothing worked until I was put on Flexeril. I can honestly say, I haven't had a headache since I was put on it. I take 2 a day. One in the morning, one at night. in Ct. deebs87 wrote: >Thanks all for telling me about Flexeril. I want it for a muscle >relaxant mostly. Guest guest
Pardon me, I think I got here by mistake.. but Flexeril is basically a muscle relaxant, and should only be take for a short period of time. I saw that someone asked about flexeril/valium..the results are similar, but valium is primarily for dealing with depression. Hope this helps anyway. van > > >Thanks all for telling me about Flexeril. I want it for a muscle > >relaxant mostly. Here in Texas our grocery HEB now offers a $5 > >generic med plan. Guest guest
Flexeril generally does not work for me...skelaxin is better. VALIUM is not for depression. It is a drug used for anxiety and does help with relaxation. Tami Tami -Dossey
