Guest guest
Congratulations, ! You did the very best thing that you could have done to improve your health. I have been quit for 12 years, and I'd probably be dead now if I hadn't quit. People just need to know that they CAN do it. I was getting fed up of smoking to be very honest, but i still carried on and on as we do.I use to say i could never quit smoking,as i need to smoke because of my pain.It would be impossible for me to quit. I went for my diabetic check up,i am insulin dependant. My blood pressure was so high it really scared me.I had it taken 3 times and every time it was increasing, probably because i was so shocked.I came out of the surgery and decided there and then to quit as soon as possible.I owe to myself and my family. The next day i got a persciption for the patches to help me.Here i am 3 months on with perfect blood pressure, within a week it had gone back to normal, need i say any more!If anyone is struggling with quitting, keep going it does get better i promise. Guest guest
Good for you, ! It's really nice to go out in the early morning and take a deep breath of clean air, and not cough your lungs up. I've hardly been sick at all since quitting in 1988, if you don't count the RA. <g> Dennis [ ] I quit smoking at last! >I have quit smoking after 48 years of 40 cigs a day!I am now 3 months > smoke free, and i feel great! > I was getting fed up of smoking to be very honest, but i still carried > on and on as we do.I use to say i could never quit smoking,as i need > to smoke because of my pain.It would be impossible for me to quit. > I went for my diabetic check up,i am insulin dependant. My blood > pressure was so high it really scared me.I had it taken 3 times and > every time it was increasing, probably because i was so shocked.I came > out of the surgery and decided there and then to quit as soon as > possible.I owe to myself and my family. The next day i got a > persciption for the patches to help me.Here i am 3 months on with > perfect blood pressure, within a week it had gone back to normal, need > i say any more!If anyone is struggling with quitting, keep going it > does get better i promise.
