I have been taking SAMe for about a month, and have a noticeable improvement

in my mood. I am much happier! And I stopped taking Zoloft for depression

right before I began the SAMe. It is expensive, I got it at a GNC store.

Can't say yet if it has helped with the RA. Shirley

Ute, I took SAMe for about nine months. It didn't do anything for me. I looked

it

up in T. Murray N.D.'s book ENCYCLOPEDIA OF NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS. He

says that though the body usually makes SAM from the amino acid methionine, a

deficiency of methionine, vitamin B12, or folic acid can result in decreased SAM

synthesis. There are five principal uses of SAM: depression, osteoarthritis,

fibromyalgia, liver disorders, and migraine headaches. I guess the results are

impressive if you have one of the conditions and a SAM deficiency. Perhaps the

only

way to know is to try it. Hope it helps. Deb

I've heard of the B Complex helping...you can also try some Omega 3 Fatty

acids, vitamin E and Ginger...Personally I take Pantothenic Acid (which I

believe is B5) which seems to help...

Hi everyone!

Had my monthly Dr. Visit today. I asked for proof of my R.A., I

guess in a way i'm still in denial...but he pulled out my last 4 months

of blood work and my mri scan and showed my exactly whats going

on...and yeah you guessed it, I have R.A. He wants me to go on Enbrel,

and I kinda hesitated, I don't want to take any meds I don't need and

now I know I need it. I had a rough day today, weather was changing and

my body knew it, as I told you all before (at least I think I did) I'm

an assembler at Caterpillar. I do alot of heavy work that requires the

use of my whole dang body lol and today my friends, was a rough one...I

never miss work and I just wanted to go home. I couldn't get warm, I

ached sooo bad..but I hung in there and made it thru the day.

Soo i'm gonna order the Enbrel and see if it helps me..hopefully it

will and I can get back to enjoying life like I should. Well, i'm

rambling..i'm so glad I have someplace to come and just write my

feeling and others understand, needless to say some people just don't

get it! Peace out friends...till next time :)

,

Sorry about my earlier post...I am just catching up now.

So, I guess your appointment went as I expected...no help at all, right?

We have no doctors listed for Louisiana or anywhere in the Southeast except for

Georgia and Florida....can you travel? If you can get to either Atlanta, GA to

see Dr. Kolb, or Dallas Texas to see Dr. Ed Melmed, you will be in good

hands...

With Dr. Melmed, you have to be firm in requesting the total capsulectomy. With

Dr. Kolb, she will know exactly what you need for healing. She is one of our top

surgeons recommended for explant, and you will be in great hands.

We also have a few doctors listed for Houston, TX, (the birthplace of breast

implants, by the way), though we have not had anyone lately that has commented

on their experience with them. I am in touch with Kristi Wilmore who lives in

Louisiana, and she went to a Dr. Steve Hamilton in Houston, who really helped

her. If you want contact info, I can try to get you guys connected, and she can

tell you more about him.

Let me know.

Does anyone know of a dr in Baton Rouge, LA that I can go to?

I would like to have that information. I did speak to Dr. Kolb and she is trying to see if my insurance will help me but my family lives in Houston so it would be alot easier and cheaper to go there, they could also help me with my children while I was there. My docter did order a mammogram Monday and I got a call this morning that they wanted to have me come in for more images because they may see a problem. I am not really sure what to think about that so I am waiting on pins and needles until I can go Friday. Welch

Hi ,I just got a reply from Kristi...she's going to write you at your email addy. She said she isn't sure that Dr. Hamilton is still practicing in Houston...so, bummer....we gotta find someone else there I guess. Keep in mind our list is OLD and names can drop off as doctors move or retire or whatever. Here are some more Houston names, but please be sure to check these out! I have no recent info on these doctors! In any case, it will be good for you to chat with Kristi...she was on MTV's show when they first started doing stories about breast implants...she was the first one they aired! You can read about Kristi in our files with stories in it. She talks about some of the things she went through after that MTV show. She has recovered fully and has gotten married and had a child, so she is a great success story from our group! Hope you find someone in Houston to work out for you, but Dr. Kolb is also another great choice if you can't.Dr. Fabian Worthing P.S 17070 Red Oak Dr. Suite 307 Houston, TX 77090 (281)440-0617 http://www.drworthing.com/(This surgeon takes VIDEO TAPE of your explant!) I actually have been researching Dr. Hamilton this evening and found him in Houston. I was going to call and try to make an appointment tomorrow. I have read alot of great information on him. What I really would like to do and have discussed with my family is meeting with both him and Dr. Kolb and see what they both have to say and go from there. I am hoping to be able to do it in Houston only due to the fact that my famiy is there and travel, recovery and cost would be less of an issue after surgery. Also the girl I have delt with for all my herbal healing and accupunture is there and I could start my detox immediately. But I feel like I need to meet with mor than one dr. before I make a decision on anything. In speaking on the phone with Dr. Kolb I liked her alot so I am keeping that option open even if it may be more expensive. I have been recommended to a

very good dr. (gp) here in baton rouge that I have been told is very open-minded and maybe willing to work with them and order and/or perform any inital tests they may need here. (In order to get my insurance to pay for some of it and to cut down on my travel costs.) I also have a very good friend who is married to a dr. who I spoke to last night he is a radiologist and will look at all the tests (images) they perform as a second opinion for me. I was called by the hospital today and told they need me to come in for more images for the mammogram that I had Friday. They think they may see something on my left side that they would like to take a better look so I will be going to take care of that immediately. I will update you as soon as I know anything else. I can not thank you enough for your support and will also look into the other Houston dr.'s as well as Dr. Hamilton. I will keep you posted. God bless you for being there for me during this

time. Welch> > > >> > >> > > I am sure no one will be suprised to hear that my p/s told me that> the symtoms that I have can not be related to my implants because I have> saline implants. Does anyone know of a dr in Baton Rouge, LA that I can> go to?> > > Welch> > >> >>
