O.T./ This is ken..I am asking for your opinion, those who know me..It's important.......

Greetings to all, and Greetings to those of you who do " know " me, and have been

the recipient of my gift of Poetry ....Please..be as honest as you can, and give

me an opinion, which I AM asking for, and need!...let me explain:

Tho' I have what I consider a " gift " from my Lord, I do not write

to " be famous....I write because I want to GIVE....never the less, I HAVE BEEN

" PUBLISHED " By the International Society of Poets, in a book called " Invoking

the Muse " ....and they gave me the honor of having my poem being placed on the

first page.....well, I was NOT looking for " fame " , or anything.......and HERE is

my " quandry:

I REALLY need you to be brutely honest with me, and tell me

what you think of what I have written for a lot of you! Why?

I have " been exchanging " letters with someone, who also is a

" Poet " ...and this person has told me that " my poetry is " good " , but to be widely

accepted and acclaimed " (this persons exact words) AND what follows)

that " I must write in " free verse " ,and I would " have a larger readership " if I

wrote in free verse,that there is a market for free verse, (which is merely

poetry that does not rhyme), AND this person even went so far as to offer to

send me a " Poetry Repair Manual!! " .Woof!

And THAT is WHY I so badly NEED your opinion!

This person said that this person quit writing in rhyme, so that this person

would have a larger readership!

I do not know if I should laugh...or if I should feel insulted!

I desire NO " fame " , and I only write to give, as gifts from my heart...Is my

poetry that bad, that I should QUIT writing in rhyme?

Please, anybody who as ever recieved one of my " gifts " ....would

you take the time to give me your very honest opinion?

My " emotional state " recieved quite a " shock " , when I read

this....and I AM asking you, please.....tell me what you think?
