I talked to my insurance company and I am having a mobility evaluation next week. They said that I have to show need inside my house. Work and outside activities don't matter. So, in essence .... keeping the job that allows me to have the insurance isn't a criteria in deciding if I need help. It is so frustrating. Part of the issue for me is that I really don't want to do this anyway. I have been really stubborn about believing I might even need one in the future, so it is hard to fight for something I resent and dread. My problem is my pride and stubborness isn't stopping the progression of my symptoms.:-) We are looking for options as far as transporting the chair to the schools I visit. The insurance rep was positive they don't even consider ramps or lifts and, of course, we don't have a van or SUV. Well, more decisions I don't want to make. Thank you again for the information. in St. Louis
