I've been a very bad girl for the past two weeks or

so. You see, I was not getting better from a bad

cold, so I had to get off my MTX and Sulfasalazine. I

had intended to go back on it as soon as I was better,

but I found myself not wanting to take it anymore!

(Especially after having those mouth ulcers!) I've

been doing OK, except for a little swelling; however,

I know that it's going to catch up with me again

sooner or later.

Does anyone know how long it takes after getting off

of meds to start getting symptoms again? Or could I

possible be in a remission?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

! Bad girl! :) I dont blame you for not wanting to take the Mtx. i

personally stopped taking it for a few months because i couldnt afford it at

the time... Well it caught up with me BIG TIME! Because of that i am back on

prednisone daily along with a higher dose of MTX and Humira. I really suggest

you talk with your docotor about a different type of medication or something.

Glad you arent too bad pain wise. good luck

Hi

I was off MTX for about almost six weeks before I got really bad.

I'll never take it again no matter how bad I feel! But don't let to me

influence you in any way. You have to do what's right for you.

The good news is my eyebrows are growing back! Now if I could just get my

hair to grow back, life will be good.

Take care

Best wishes

noodle whip for you... (: after all, I don't want to hurt you. :)

I will ask the hair-fairy to get you your hair back asap

Cheers.

Hey, I think that we all have been naughty that way

from time to time - I have stopped my Mtx or Enbrel

when sick too, but I always noticed more pain, so back

on it when I was better. At one time, I was told by

my doctor that I was in such good control, " remission "

you might call it, that she began reducing my Mtx

which was at 20 mg. I was also taking Enbrel. I was

feeling good until it was reduced to 10 mg., at which

time I began to have more pain again, and so I have

kept my dosage there. I was happy to be taking less

Mtx, but miss my " remission " .

I think that there can be remissions with RA, because

you are on medications that are really helping you, or

even when you are doing so well you don't need the

meds. Only time will tell if you are truly in a

" remission " . You should know within a few weeks what

is going to happen. Best of luck to you and hope your

pain continues to be in control -
