Guest guest
I have some questions about supplements. My daughter is 2 1/2 and weighs 30lbs. We currently give her the following: Nutivene D - 1/3 scoop 3x day Daily Enzyme - 1 capsule breakfast, 1/2 capsule lunch Gingko Biloba - 90mg 3x day (just upped that from once a day) Vitamin D - 4 drops at breakfast Piracetam - 1/2 capsule at breakfast, 1/2 capsule at lunch 1 fish oil capsule - pierce with pin and give at breakfast Longvida Curcumin - just starting 1 scoop a day at dinner Specific Questions - Does anybody have a substitute for Longvida Curcumin? It's expensive, but Curcumin alone is not. However, it is not bioavailable alone. The local health food store suggested adding something called Biopreen (not sure of spelling) to enhance absorption. It is a form of peppermint extract. Has anyone ever tried this option? The other question I had was about the fish oil capsule. She doesn't mind the taste, but is it safe to give one capsule of inexpensive fish oil to a young child with DS? I didn't really do my homework on that one. One day we spilled her bottle of DHA lemon flavored fish oil in the fridge...nasty to clean up and just decided a capsule was easier. We are totally open for any other suggestions as well. She has no digestive issues at all, so I haven't felt the need to add in any other type of enzymes. Lily (2 1/2)

(I would never use anything else) See my next post. The other question I had was about the fish oil capsule. I would get a kind that says the test third party for mercury removal and other metals. Liora > > > Lily (2 1/2) >
