He is ADORABLE! It says adoption pending on his photo!?!

Marc has been in the system far too long. His birth family has been exhausted as time passes....I know this case from watching years as he continues to slide into the system deeper and deeper, TOO SAD. He is a great kid, his personality is being kept from shining from a system. He lives in a Developmentally Disabled group home which is not conducive to personal gain or growth for a young boy with Down syndrome. I met Marc and in the couple of hours he made eye contact, winked back and made fun facial expressions, waved back and in the end gave hugs and took photos with us. Unfortunately his group home parents confined him to their lap, he was not offered the opportunity to go outside and play with my children rather it was stated "he won't go" in front of him and no encouragement for any interaction. I can only give my opinion but the specialized group home as a fact gets BIG DOLLARS for caring for Marc and his closet of clothes was maybe 4 outfits and toys were broke and hard to find.... his room well not like any child's room I have ever seen.. BORING BARE! My observations from my eyes. HE NEEDS A FAMILY NOW! He needs someone to play the game the state is playing. They will only do supervised visits. The group home parents gave me the horrible terrible picture of a monster child..NOT WHAT I SAW WHEN HE GOT TO THE HOUSE FROM SCHOOL....they did tell me the info before the case worker got to the home. They shared he will not do this, he will not do that...but when I asked about swimming they said they take him to their personal home down the street to swim in their family pool and he is fine in their home...HHHmmmm not wire they got where I was going with the question. I believe in my whole heart if an experienced family who has the time to jump the system's hoops and believes in this child like I do HE WILL BE YOUR STAR!!!! Please help Marc find his family.

We were the pending family, I could not keep the supervised visits as they

wanted and keep a balance at home. This will require out of town folks to come

stay in a hotel for a time to do the one-two hour visits after school with the

group home parents until they go back to court and ask for unsupervised and over

night...they are treating it like I am use to parent re-unifications.

I believe it is because the paper documentation on Marc is very disturbing. He

still has potential..I saw him mimic, I say the sparkle.. Someone is going to

be very blessed...I am advocating to get him out of group home care and into a

family ASAP...He has been in Medical home and now APD group home...HE

NEEDS A FAMILY! Both his system settings are not what I consider in the best

interest of children with Down syndrome.
