It is a side effect for some but if taken the right amount of folic acid then that should stop. Also as for becomming badly handicapped, well that is why we are taking these meds so that won't happen. Not everybody with RA gets deformity's. Please look on the bright side. They are always comming up with new meds. The time to worry is when you cant get the meds. I have had this disability for almost 5 years but even on my worst days I keep going.
