The coverage map they show isn't great on detail, but it might be ok at 10 cents a minute flat fee. Right now, we're using Simple Freedom at 25 cents local and 50 cents long distance. Surely there has to be a good, reliable, cheap system out there. I need to know what it is and if it will fit my budget. Dennis Dennis i am also looking for a better prepaid plan. I have a cingular pay as you go phone... 25c a minute in the US. My phone is wierd, sometimes it will charge me 25 cts more for 1 call, but wont charge me for others.... who knows. i am hoping for xmas to get one with unlimited calling. So many ppl i want to talk to but cant... HUGS good luck searching!

They don't say $.99 per call plus 10 cents like the rip-offs do. Guest guest
Have you considered Internet phone, such as Vonage? I've considered it, but the cable company would have to upgrade my modem, so I haven't tried it. I think Vonage is something like $24.95 a month, with unlimited long distance. Guest guest
To qualify for Vonage you must have a high speed internet connection. We're still using hand cranks and smoke signals. Besides, my main concern is if I get away from the house phone and need help. Out in my orchard, the cordless phone doesn't work, so I need something better, and the only thing I know is a cell that I can afford. BTW, some of us still have to choose which med to skip this month. Dennis Re: [ ] Prepaid Cellphone Service > Have you considered Internet phone, such as Vonage?
