Ken, I can relate! Last month I was that sick. I had no fever, no cough, no cold

but I thought I was going to die. My whole body hurt. I thought it might have

been something to do with the MTX that I had quit taking 5 weeks before. I began

taking them again. I knew it would take a while for it to begin to take affect.

Finally, I called my Internist and got in within the hour. The nurse who did my

workup thought maybe my body was going through a drug withdrawal since it was

pretty obvious that I was sick!! It turned out to be strep throat and bronchitis

that turned into pneumonia in one of my lungs. YES, I WAS SICK!! I kept trying

to figure out what was wrong and couldn't. I had to do the breathing machine,

take cough syrup to make me cough and break up the congestion, I got a steroid

injection and a 7 day pack of steroids, an injection of antibodies with 10 days

worth then I had to go back in 2 days and repeat the breathing treatment.

Please see a doctor!! I would have never guessed I had what I did and I ended up

being sick for most of the month of Sept. My Rheumy said I probably didn't have

a fever because of the other meds I take and it's not unusual to have extreme

pain in muscles and joints with RA when you have an infection, like strep.

I'm saying prayers for you and I hope with all my heart you're better when you

read this, if not, go to the doctor!
